Creating Blueprints for a More Sustainable Future

ORCA will convene a diverse group of scientists, educators, artists, students, and advocates in The Island School at Cape Eleuthera, Bahamas to develop a plan for establishing environmental observatories in four different ecosystems on and around the island. Ultimately, the goal of the project is two-fold: to instrument these sites with state-of-the-art monitoring technology, and to involve the Island School high school students in maintaining the installations as well as analyzing the data streams from them.
