Earth Week 2011: Students Connect with Congress on Climate Change

C2C
is a national public policy initiative of the Bard Center for Environmental Policy. C2C gives young people nationwide the chance to directly make an impact on clean energy policy. During Earth Week 2011 C2C will host over a hundred video dialogues between campuses and congress on climate related issues.

How does Earth Week work? If students want to invite their member of Congress or Senator to talk with their campus—virtually— C2C will move heaven and earth to connect them, with their Congressperson over Skype for a dialogue. That’s it!

Once the call is scheduled, students gather together in a room to talk to their Congressperson or Senator and engage in some serious, web-enabled conversation about global warming solutions, EPA action, incentives for clean energy, and the potential for green jobs. And they feel empowered to know that students across the country are doing the same!
