Timby is a collective of scientists, environmental activists, designers, technologists and security experts working across the areas of technology, land and governance in the Global South. An Invoking The Pause grant will allow them to take time out from their every day development of software to re-think how their basic tools can be of best use to the organizations and activists using them. During the 4-day retreat, held at their headquarters in Nairobi, they will assess Timby’s current position, listen to experts in the climate field about bottlenecks in the Carbon Fund system, and take a step back to re-imagine new possibilities for their work.
